We are very aware that our education portrays an approach unlike most educational systems: our methodology brings in the dimension of Soul and Spirit and puts their reality as the inspiration for education and for our lives.

     Since the dimension of Soul and Spirit are part of the World of Love, we place Love as the foundation and intention for life, and thus, as the underlying strength in education.

 

     This may sound all very inspiring and uplifting, hopefully it echoes in your heart and soul.

     As a parent, you are concerned to offer the best opportunities for your child(ren) to shine and succeed. Probably, like most parents, you may have some questions in your heart, like:

“Well, it feels all great, but will my child learn to read, write and count?”

“Within this approach, will my child function and be successful in our society?”

“And what about preparing for college … ?”

 

     We absolutely understand these concerns and very much honor your sense of conscientiousness for your child(ren). From an educator’s mindset we did reflect a lot upon them, and similar topics.

     There are two points of view from where we look upon this inquiry. The first addresses more directly the situation of this present lifetime; the second includes the rhythm of the lifetimes on earth and within the Soul World.

 

     Throughout our numerous educational experiences, we witness that each child incarnates with distinguishable skills, tendencies, predispositions, and challenges. In cultivating their qualities, and fostered within Love Consciousness, we allow their inclinations to develop and enhance. Within this perspective, children learn what they need to learn on their Soul Journey, at their appropriate moment and in their proper way. The entire ‘normal school curriculum’ finds its authentic place and these questions receive their individual answer for each child, in accord with each one’s Soul’s program.

     By allowing any learning to come from the child’s interest, the learning curve is shown to be adapted to the child’s curiosity and therefore shorter and more efficient. It frees the child, and educator, from learning methods that are arduous, difficult, annoying and boring. Foremost, it allows the child to discover and study what, when and how he or she chooses to learn in a way that is fun, agreeable, smooth, interesting and successful.

     Reading, writing and math are essential for most of the activities and further learning in life and they will be acquired. Perhaps it will not happen at the age our present-day educational system recommends. Perhaps earlier, perhaps later… We see no dilemma if a child of 4 wants to read and write, as we also perceive no problem if a child of 9 does not yet show any interest in math, or if a teen, ‘only’ at 13, learns how to read and write.

     More and more educational studies show how students from free-schooling (often referred to as ‘unschooling’) outline their programs and become very successful in life. They all know how to read, write and count. Most often, these children do not even know how it happened. They ‘played’ along and somehow, they ‘learned’. Most importantly, they acquired the skills necessary to be successful in the pursuit of their dreams.

     Nothing can stop the innate learning journey of a youngster when we allow that journey to follow its impulse and flow on its own rhythm. This journey is unique for each child, what we call the ‘Soul Journey’. Our concern in Soul Essence Education, and at Rainbow Tree Space of Love, is in preparing for ‘going on your Soul Journey’. If going to college is part of that journey, then this will be supported; if something else is calling, then that will be supported.

 

     Within the spiritual evolution of earth, humankind reaches a point where it becomes crucial for each one of us to have a conscious connection with the universal Spirit, often called Christ. When we use the term ‘Christ’ we refer to the Solar Being. At this point of evolution, this Being is now dwelling within the Earth. This phenomenon is well known in esoteric sciences and is clearly addressed by Rudolf Steiner. When the Christ Spirit was still abiding within the Sun (2000 years ago), each of us, after we left our physical body, was welcomed and accompanied by Him on our ‘Flight’ further into the Light. At this moment, this support is not available. To travel further within the Soul World, we need our own ‘Christ Light’. Without this inner connection, our Flight into the Light remains trapped within earth’s dimension, which means that our spiritual bodies do not receive full recovery before re-incarnating. You could compare that with not having access to your ATM outlet, your budget becomes restrained. Slowly but surely, our society shows the evidence of it. Losing its proper spiritual insight, science separated from religion, and instead of marching harmoniously together, they both hop around on only one foot. As a result, they both offer an unstable and incomplete picture of creation.

     From this point of view, these kinds of questions, like becoming successful in our society, dissipate like clouds under the sun. Why bothering to become successful in a society that has a restraint budget and tries to find solidity on one leg!? What are we learning in college that will free us from this limitation? And, would we not want to learn to read and write in the Living Book of Nature?

 

     So, the real question emerges: will each child retrieve his or her full divine potential and become successful within the universal society?

     The positive answer to that question entails that each child follows their own Soul Journey and studies within the UniversCity of the new Life!
